A section of the Berlin wall at a train station called 'The Palace of Tears'. It was called this because it was a gateway between the east and west sides of Berlin. A tremendous amount of heartbreak was felt in this place - when family members visiting the east side returned to the west and had to leave their loved ones behind. |
